Nashville, TN (PRUnderground) May 29th, 2026

On its surface it seemed like a straightforward production. The Ex-Bombers would play their single “In Music City” in a wrestling ring surrounded by a dozen giant professional wrestlers as enraged older viewers watch on CRT televisions. But featuring multiple professional wrestlers in a music video is exceptionally rare for a reason.

Music videos require multiple takes and pro wrestling is a contact sport. As thee fabulous rock n roll duo played their garage rock hit, two of the wrestlers (LT Falk and Zack Kennedy) got into a legitimate altercation that continued long past “cut.” The two had to be separated as any subsequent takes would have certainly led to physicality.

“Wild things happen in rock n wrestling, so we just decided to build the music video around it,” said 8-string bassist and vocalist S.M. Nancy Walus, “Like the song says, ‘there’s action in Music City.’”

The action for “In Music City” started on the airwaves as it reached #44 on the Radio Indie Alliance charts, appearing on over 250 radio stations in addition to a compilation CD for Martin Atkins (Public Image Ltd, Pigface, Nine Inch Nails, Killing Joke, and the founder of the Museum of Post Punk and Industrial Music).

The music video pays homage to early 1980s wrestling in Tennessee, where professional wrestling was at a fever pitch of popularity. It was routinely the highest-rated weekly program on television and would garner a 70 share. For perspective, the only other broadcast to regularly achieve this share of television viewers is the Superbowl. This audience included a sizable section of older women letting the bad guys know what they thought about them.

This homage to wrestling extends to raising funds for Cauliflower Alley Club, pro wrestling’s only 501(c)3 charity. The Ex-Bombers will be donating one cent for every full view of the music video from now until the beginning of summer on June 21. Cauliflower Alley financially assists wrestlers in times of need such as an injury or illness.

This music video for “In Music City” provides a snapshot of this moment in time for Nashville wrestling all in one ring including Jeremiah Plunkett (the longest-reigning NWA Mid America champion), “Mr. Music City” Flynn Hendrix, Ray Bruce, The Deadly Sinn Se7en, Will Huckaby, LT Falk, Zack Kennedy, Totally Plastic Pha’Nesse, Isaiah Snow, Johnny Bandanna, Wishmaster Michael Revick, Phillip Lee Dixon, Miss Rachel, ConjiClub, Aaron Camaro (of Decibel Geek fame), and referee to the stars Chris Norte.

For authenticity, the in-ring action was filmed by WrestleTopia owner Justin Desing, who has been the camera operator for countless matches in the territory, the band tracked down CRT televisions and wicker furniture for the older viewers, and the cat’s name is Fright (he followed The Ex-Bombers home one day).

“In Music City” has become a favorite at The Ex-Bombers’ live shows due to its giant glam rock hook and wrecking ball rhythm and it has just been announced as the opening theme to the upcoming Music City Pro Wrestling television show.

“It has a different vibe. It’s that throwback rock n roll sound that really engages you and you actually feel the music. You turn it on and get hooked,” said MCPW founder Jermaine Alston, “This can catapult MCPW to another level and set us apart, especially with a collaboration with The Ex-Bombers. They have a vision as well that can intertwine with our vision.”

The Ex-Bombers are noted theme writers known for “Get the Experience” (the theme of the #1 professional wrestling podcast in the world the “Jim Cornette Experience”), “He’s a Bad, Bad Man” (ring entrance of Jeremiah Plunkett from Billy Corgan’s National Wrestling Alliance), and “The Adventures of Beef” (ring entrance of BEEF from All Elite Wrestling and Ring of Honor).

“In Music City” will appear on The Ex-Bombers’ upcoming “Lace Up Your Boots” LP along with their other wrestling themes on CD and vinyl.
